Times are tough but being Laid Off and Over 50 makes it a heck of a lot tougher! Unfortunately but true, employers like to hire younger people. They do not want to have to put up with someone who has lots of experience maybe more then them. They think that being older that you will not be able to follow the way the bosses want things ran. Or that they have to pay more for the experience. Or worse, that you can't keep up with the pace because of your age. It is much easier for them to hire someone who has little work experience who they can pay at a much lower rate and mold into the person they want them to be. done with no input from them. This puts us that are over 50 at a disadvantage right from the get go!! DO SOMETHING NOW!!
